    my cat walks across keyboard

PLAY WITH SOUND
Esther T.

Ding ding, hear it ring
It woke me up from my dream
Tick tock look at the clock
I check the door to see the lock
As I ran around the room
My thoughts were all a thought
Zip zap the powers out

LOVE
Katelynn T.

I just need to be single for a while
Don't single me out as a single Pringle
I'm just working on myself
Why don't you do that too
I don't need a guy right now
It's just another problem
another thing to deal with
I've got a lot on my plate so just get lost boy
I'm not a kid who needs a toy
I'm not trying to be mean
I just don't need distractions that won't bring me true happiness
Also I'm just not ready to fall right now, and I don't know when I will be
So don't mess with me
I'm not gonna fall for your games
I'm working on me, I finally feel free
I'm finding joy without a guy
I'm so glad, not really sad
I mean part of me still wants it, and longs for it
But I'm not ready now
I'm waiting for the right guy and the right time
So don't mess with me, I told you I'm working on myself
Can you respect that?
Good bye, cause I'm not ready for love
I'm still healing from the last time I fell
And I won't fall for your spell
It won't work
I'm waiting until the time is right and the guy is right
And I'm sorry it wasn't you
Don't get mad, I'm just over love right now
And when I'm ready
I'll open up the door and the right one I will let in
Until that time I'm okay with being single

CURRENT EVENTS
Jessica E.

The Eye's of a Loveless Child

She looks at me with the eyes of a loveless child
drawing me in
Pulling, plucking
she searches her hearts desires
pausing to adjust a newly fitted mask
"choose the rouge one child"
"unbutton your shirt child, you don't want to be thought a prude"
She saw me see her
She had seen me see her little girl lost and scared.
What she didn't know, I had always seen her as that little girl
I thought we had fun playing her games of dress up
pretending our new lives in new cities like in my books
She the Queen and I her princess
The Kings came and they went
Some stayed longer than others
some richer than others
One gave me a sister to play with
That King cracked her mask
the discord began to build
Flee did we three
The queen, my sister and me
with the eyes of a loveless child
drawing me in
The pulling and plucking began
She searched fiercely
her heart ached
Turning round with her heavy new mask
Scared I was to see sockets so deep
Where did her eyes go?
Mommy, Mommy can't you see?
Where did you go?
Come play with me
Mommy, Mommy I am beautiful I am me, I am strong, I am proud
just like you taught me. Please stop it, you're hurting me
Love me back Mommy
See me too Mommy
Or at least pretend to...
